Pyrenean Mountain Expedition
School Expedition and College Trip in the Pyrenees
RocknRoll Adventures is based in and around Val d’Azun, situated at the foot of the col du Soulor, one of the wildest and most natural valleys in the Hautes-Pyrenees. This area has an abundance of wild rivers, crags, caves and canyons within the surroundings of the stunning snow caped mountain peaks.
A school or college trip can be a fantastic time to develop new skills and push personal limits to develop self-esteem, self-confidence and independence. Working alongside local mountain leaders with extensive knowledge of the landscape and accompanying walkers in the area, an expedition at altitude is a hugely satisfying way for students to discover personal strengths and support peers. This trip is a favourite with Sixth Form and FE groups.
The mountain expedition is often enjoyed in combination with other adventurous activities such as canyoning, caving & white water rafting. As part of your wider curriculum, your group may choose to take part in this expedition to:
- Develop Personal Skills
- Experience practical teamwork
- Practice map reading using Ordnance Survey Maps
- Gain awareness and management of incidents
- Plan and Participate in an Event
- Introduce Expedition Skills
- Improve Health and Fitness
