We are delighted to offer ski trips to the quiet, compact resort of Leitariegos in the Cantabrian mountain range in Northern Spain. With over 30 years experience of skiing in the Alps, Pyrenees & Rockies we could not think of a better value place for a school group to learn how to ski. The snow is reliably good, the ski instructors are friendly and the slopes are practically empty.

Accommodation and Food

Our accommodation is based in a recently renovated superior hostel 5 minutes away from the resort. Roberto who runs the accommodation with his wife Silvia is a fantastic chef so there is always plentiful of delicious authentic Spanish food. All meals are made with fresh ingredients on a daily basis which will give the children all the energy they need so they can focus on learning how to ski.

Activities

The main aim of this trip is to give the children the best introduction to skiing possible in a professional and safe environment. The children will have up to 5 hours of skiing a day. 3 hours of lessons with a professional English speaking instructor in the morning. In the afternoon they can practice what they have learnt under the experienced eye of a qualified ski leader. There is a restaurant next to the nursery slopes so should a student ever get to cold or tired they can always rest in the warm until they feel ready to join in again. The resort is high above the tree line at 1800m, so snow is almost guaranteed and snow-making cannons ensure that the lower slopes are in great condition. Evening activities include, igloo building, snow shoeing, cinema / popcorn evening and a disco.
